However, in Canada, we're already starting to transition into cooler temperatures and it's easy to get caught in limbo between wanting to show off your summer bronzing but needing a bit of colour correction as well.
There's a simple trick to this. When applying your regular foundation, mix it with a small amount of moisturizer. The moisturizer will do its usual job and it will also lighten the opacity of the foundation. These means that it will allow the foundation colour to blend closer to your current skin tone, despite the addition of your summer tan.
1. Make sure that you have a good quality foundation. Ones with higher pigment ratios will produce better results despite being diluted with moisturizer.
2. Seek out makeup/moisturizer with built in SPF, any additional sun protection is always beneficial for your skins long term appearance. Switch your 2-in-1 trick to a 3-in-1!
3. I currently use Covergirl's Outlast and The Body Shop's Seaweed Mattfying Day Cream. However, finding the best combination is based on your skin type. Play around and find out what works best for you.
